Hi everyone!

My name is Abi and I am a student at Texas State University. I have always, since I could remember, loved dogs. When I left for college, I lived in a dorm and I had to say goodbye to my family dog and best friend, back home. The first second that I moved out of my dorm, I got my own dog. While I thought this was a great decision, I quickly realized how difficult it was going to be.

Living in a small apartment, not having a consistent income, being in class all the time. These are the few problems I face while trying to train and raise a dog. Super difficult! However, that does not change the amount of love I have for him. I have spent so much time researching, learning, and developing the best ways to be a dog parent.

Over the past couple of years I’ve learned so much about training, time management, and how to be financially smart with my dog. All those little tips and tricks have led me to start this blog to share with any other struggling college students how you can survive and make sure your dog stays happy and healthy. I hope I will be able to reach out to any college students and give them ideas or suggestions. I want every dog owner to give their puppy the best attention and care while also maintaining the lifestyle and busyness of a college student.

Checking for the cheapest toys, making sure your dog has the healthiest food, finding the best parks and pet-friendly restaurants around town. These are some of the things I will write about to help y’all be the best dog parent you can be. 🙂

While I will mostly highlight places and restaurants that are in the San Marcos and Austin area, any dog owner could read my posts and hopefully gain new insight or new websites that they can use!
